Classification

Peptide

Regulatory Status

not-established

Overview

Kisspeptin-10 is the minimal bioactive C-terminal decapeptide fragment of the KISS1 gene product (kisspeptin/metastin) and acts as an agonist at the KISS1R (GPR54) receptor, the key upstream activator of hypothalamic GnRH neurons in the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis.

Evidence and limitations

Human/preclinical evidence breakdown is not available in this record.
